2018-07-30

Relatives of Netra Bikram Chand-led Communist Party of Nepal (CPN) leaders Mohan Karki and Krishna Dhamala have urged human rights agencies, civil society and media persons to take initiatives to find the duo. The family members claimed that police had detained Karki and Dhamala from Nagdhunga check post in Kathmandu on Thursday and made them disappeared. The kin of the duo said they are unaware where they have been kept and the reason behind their detention. Karki is a politburo member of the CPN, while Dhamala is a district leader. The two CPN leaders were detained while they were heading to Kathmandu from Dhading on a passenger bus, according to the relatives.
