The district police office on January 12 has filed a case of rape against Ashik Ali Dhuniya, 47, of Semari Kalitol in Jamuniya2.

Saying that Dhuniya had raped her at home at around 8.30 pm on December 22, his 20-year-old daughter-in-law had appealed the police to arrest him.

Police said that the accused could not be arrested as he was absconding after the incident.
