Saptari/October 12 A 23-year-old woman has been raped by four persons, including a policeman at the office of Nepal Telecom (NT) in Rajbiraj Municpality-1 on October 9. According to the complaint filed by the victim, constable Rajeshwor Sardar, 26, of Rupnagar VDC-8 and working at the District Police Office Saptari; Raj Narayan Yadab alias Chunchun, 24, of Badgama VDC-3 and working as security guard in the NT office; Baleshwor Sardar, 23, of Rupnagar VDC-9 and recruited as temporary policeman and another raped her after taking her to the NT office. Constable Sardar who claimed to be Inspector and security guard Yadab who claimed to be an NT staff took her to the NT office under the pretext of recruiting her as temporary police. The victim said that the accused had asked her and other two woman to stay with their family at the NT office quarter when they were about to stay at a hotel lodge. "The other two women managed to flee but they grabbed me and raped me," she said. The victim had narrated the incident to the police team lead by SI Shyam Subedi when they reached the NT office to paste the list of those selected as temporary police. Among the accused, Rajeshwor, Raj Narayan and Baleshwor have been arrested on October 10 while one is still absconding. Inspector Bijay Yadab of the DPO said that medical check-up of the victim and the accused were conducted at the Zonal Hospital Rajbiraj on October 11.
