Dairy entrepreneurs in Rautahat protested on Aug 15 against price reduction of milk by the Dairy Development Coorporation (DDC), They tied black band throughout the day at a milk cold store. DDC decreased milk price by Rs.3/litre effective from June 29. After which many other private dairies also started reducing price. According to President Shree Krishna Adhikari,they were compelled to protest due to price reduction and demanded price reintegration of their product. रौतहटमा दुध उत्पादन संस्थाले दुधको मूल्य समायोजनको माग गर्दै बुधबार कालो पट्टि बाँधेर कार्यालयको काम गरेका छन् ।संस्थाको कार्यालय र दुग्ध चिस्यान केन्द्र अगाडी विरोध स्वरूप कालो झन्डा राखेका हुन् । सरकारी स्वामित्वमा रहेको डीडीसीले असर १५ गतेबाट दुधको मूल्य प्रतिलिटर ३ रुपैँया घटाएसंगै अरु निजी डेरीहरुले पनि दुधको मूल्य घटाउने क्रम सुरु गरेपछि रौतहटका कृषकहरु आक्रोशित भएका हुन् । सरकारले दुधको मूल्य घटाएपछी त्यसको विरोधमा उत्रनु परेको रौतहट दुध उत्पादक संघक अद्यक्ष श्रीकृष्ण अधिकारीले बताए ।संघले दुधको मूल्य समायोजन नभए सरकारविरुद्ध आन्दोलनमा जाने चेतावनी दिए ।
