The District Administration Office, District Police Office and INSEC including other organizations have rescued nine street children from Tamghas area on September 6. The rescued children were handed over to their parents according to SP Dip Kumar Basnet. CDO Yadu Nath Paudel said that the critical conditions of the children were raised in public program and after that they were searched and rescued. The family members were told to care their children. The trade commerce federation of the district has provided clothes and food to the children and their families. There has been increase in street children in the district from the last few years and they are involved in some criminal activities as well. The rights organizations of the district have demanded concerned body to be more sensible in this serious issue. जिल्ला प्रशासन कार्यालय, जिल्ला प्रहरी कार्यालय र इन्सेकलगायत सङ्घसंस्थाको समन्वयमा तम्घास क्षेत्रमा रहेका नौ जना सडक बालबालिकालाई भदौ २१ गते उद्धार गरी अभिभावकलाई जिम्मा लगाइएको छ । बालकहरूका अभिभावकको पहिचान गरी अभिभावकलाई बुझाइएको जिल्ला प्रहरी कार्यालयका एसपी दिपककुमार बस्नेतले बताए । सार्वजनिक कार्यक्रमहरूमा उनीहरूको अवस्थाका विषयमा गम्भीर कुरा उठेपछि प्रहरीको निगरानीमा त्यस्ता बालबालिका खोज गरी अभिभावकलाई बुझाइएको सिडिओ यदुनाथ पौडेलले बताए । ‘बालबालिका र उनका अभिभावकसँगै राखेर सम्झाएका पनि छौँ । पुनः बालबालिका सडकमै भेटिए अभिभावकलाई कारबाही गर्नेछौँ ।–पौडेलले भने । बालबालिका र परिवारलाई उद्योग वाणिज्य सङ्घ गुल्मीको सहयोगमा लत्ता–कपडा र खाद्य सामग्री प्रदान गरिएको छ । प्रहरी र प्रशासनले उनीहरूलाई विद्यालयमा भर्ना गरेर नियमित विद्यालय जाने वातावरण समेत मिलाएर परिवारलाई बालबालिका बुझाएको हो । केही वर्षदेखि सडक बालबालिकाको सङ्ख्या बढ्दै आइरहेको र उनीहरू बजारमा चोरी गर्ने, मागेर हिँड्ने क्रियाकलापमा संलग्न रहँदै आएकाले जिल्लामा क्रियाशील सङ्घ संस्थाहरूले विभिन्न कार्यक्रममा बालबालिकाहरूको विषयमा सम्वेदनशील हुन र बालबालिकाहरूलाई संरक्षण गर्न माग गर्दै आएका थिए ।
