org SMS ALERT: Sunsari,Chunavi karyakramlaai lakshit gari sadakma bomb. Pressure cooker bombs have been planted in three places along east-west highway by an unidentified group targeting the UCPN-M election assembly on November 6. The bombs were planted to obstruct the arrival of UCPN-M Chairperson Pushpa Kamal Dahal and Vice-chairperson Baburam Bhattarai who were scheduled to address the election assembly. The bombs were defused by a bomb disposal team of Nepal Army from Eastern division based in Itahari. According to security personnel of Area Police Office in Pathari and Belbari, bombs kept in the bridge over Dash river in Sanishchare VDC, bridge over Betana river in Belbari VDC-9 and the bridge over Kisti river situated at the border of Indrapur VDC and Belbare VDC were deactivated by Nepal Army. Dahal and Bhattarai were travelling from Jhapa to address the assembly in Belbari and Biratchok. Locals were affected after the transportation stopped for three hours.
