UCPN-M ka 2 ummedvaari raddh. Lalitpur/November 6, The Election Commission (EC) has scrapped the candidacy of two poll candidates under the Proportional Representation (PR) system. The candidacy of UCPN-M candidate Bal Krishna Dhungel, who was sentenced to life with confiscation of property by the Supreme Court for murder, has been scrapped. The EC had disqualified Dhungel after a complaint was filed at the EC demanding to scrap his nomination as PR candidate for the Constituent Assembly (CA). Similarly, EC has also cancelled the candidacy of Usha Fakir who was included in the list of UCPN-M PR candidates. EC said that the candidate could not be a CA member as she is a member at National Muslim Commission. EC disqualified the candidacy of Dhungel and Fakir on November 6 after investigating the complaints filed against the two.
