A girl sustained serious injuries after she was attacked with acid and knife in Kawasoti of East-Nawalparasi. Basanti Pariyar, 27, of Danda Harabasi in Kawasoti Municipality-16, was seriously injured after her neighbour Bima Shreepal, 37, attacked her with acid and knife on Monday. According to DSP Lilaraj Lamichhane of East Nawalparai District Police Office, Pariyar was suddenly attacked while she was on her way home after shopping in the market last evening. She was rushed to Bharatpur Hospital in Chitwan with the help of locals. Police have arrested Bimal Shreepali. This is the latest incident in the recent spate of acid attacks. The incident happened on the very day another teenage victim of acid attack, Samjhana Kumari Das, succumbed to the injuries she sustained in acid attack. Das, 15, and her sister Sushmita had been undergoing treatment at Kirtipur Hospital after they were attacked with acid on September 12 while they were sleeping at heir house in Chandrapur Municipality, Rautahat. पुर्वी नवलपरासीको कावासोतीमा एसीड र चक्कु प्रहारबाट एक महिला गम्भीर घाइते भएकी छन् । कावासोती १६ डण्डाहरबासीकी २० वर्षीया शान्ती परियारलाई छिमेकी ३७ वर्षिय बिमल श्रीपालीले एसीड र चक्कु प्रहार गरेका हुन् । हिजो साँझं बजारबाट घरतर्फ जाँदै गरेकी परियारलाई बाटोमा एक्कासी आक्रमण भएको जिल्ला प्रहरी कार्यालय पुर्वी नवलपरासीका डिएसपी लिलाराज लामिछानेले बताउनुभयो । घाइते परियारलाई स्थानीयको सहयोगमा तत्काल चितवनको भरतपुर अस्पतालमा लगिएको हो । एसिड र चक्कु प्रहार गर्ने बिमल श्रीपालीलाई प्रहरीले नियन्त्रणमा लिई अनुसन्धान गरिरहेको छ ।
