Nepal Students Union (NSU) has vandalized Lumbini Commerce Campus and set a fire to it. NSU, Lumbini Commerce Campus Unit vandalized the college by accusing it of appointing 11 teachers and staffers. Students affiliated to NSU led by Suraj Chhetri, NSU President of Campus Unit, barged into the office of Campus Chief Tara Prasad Upadhyaya started vandalizing table, window and other materials and set a fire to Upadhyaya’s chair after dousing it in kerosene. They had entered the Campus Office’s office saying that they would submit a dissenting memorandum on the appointment of teachers and other staffers. Upadhyaya’s Scorpio vehicle was also vandalized in the incident. However, the campus executive committee has said that the teachers were appointed based on the notice issued on August 25. बुटवलको लुम्बिनी बाणिज्य क्याम्पसमा ११ जना आफ्ना मान्छेलाई शिक्षक, कर्मचारी भर्ती गरेको भन्दै नेपाल विद्यार्थी संघले आगजनी र तोडफोड गरेको छ । लुम्बिनी बाणिज्य क्याम्पस इकाइ समितिका सभापति सुरज क्षेत्री र केन्द्रीय सदस्य टंक पाण्डेको नेतृत्वको समूहले क्याम्पस प्रमुखको कुर्ची, टेबलमा आगजनी गरेको हो । उनीहरुले क्याम्पस प्रमुख चढ्दै आएको स्कार्पियो गाडीमा तोडफोड गरेका छन् । विद्यार्थीहरुले नयाँ नियुक्त गरिएका शिक्षक कर्मचारीहरु भनसुनका आधारमा नाताबाद, कृपाबाद र आसेपासे भएको आरोप लगाएका छन् । ‘आफ्ना मान्छेलाइ प्रश्नपत्र आउट गराएर, चिट चोराएर नियुक्ति दिइएको छ, हामी यो मान्दैनौं । तत्काल निर्णय नसच्चाए थप आन्दोलन चर्काउछौं,’ नेबिसंघ केन्द्रीय सदस्य टंक पाण्डेले भने । क्याम्पसले आफूखुसी मान्छेलाई जागिर दिएको भन्दै निर्णय सच्चाउन नेविसंघले अल्टिमेटम समेेत दिएको छ । क्याम्पस प्रशासनले भने बैधानिक ढंगले शिक्षक कर्मचारी नियुक्ति गरिएको जनाएको छ ।
