Meanwhile, the bomb disposal unit of the NA has defused a time bomb placed at Chirauli Chok of Bhokraha9 on Inaruwa Laukahi section of East West Highway.

The bomb was defused on January 23 morning. The siting of the bomb stalled the vehicular movements for nearly three hours.

Pamphlets of Janatantrik Tarai Madhes Mukti Party and its flags were recovered from the site. JTMMP’s chairperson and military commander Bhagat Singh called the media persons claiming that his group had placed the bomb.

The pamphlet found at the site says that the bomb was placed to draw the attention of the state towards its protest against the killing of Madhes Movember leader Ranbir Singh, Bara in-charge Bachcha Yadav, Raghunath Thakur of Sunsari, Satyadev Mani Tripathi, Bhawani Singh and Kripananda Sah of Rupandehi among other leaders.
