The victim’s party accused police of inflicting torture on Bikki Raut, 20 of Rajbiraj Municipality-6 inside the custody to make him confess on killing of 45 years old single woman Asha Devi Dev on October 26. The victim has been admitted at Gajendra Narayan Singh Sagarmatha Hospital in Rajbiraj and she accused ASI Moti Mahato of inflicting torture on her making her to confess killing. A dead body of Asha was recovered in her room on October 19. Police have arrested more than dozens for the investigation. Raut was controlled on a same night by the police and was tortured in the custody pressurizing her to accept the killing according to the victim. The victim was severely tortured and she sustained several bruises over her body. However, ASI Mahato denies of inflicting torture on her. Meanwhile, various organizations have released press statement and condemned the incident saying that it is severe violation of human rights.
