As many as 14 people sustained injuries in brawls that occurred at separate places in the district during Tihar festival.
Out of the injured, three are said to be in critical condition.
According to Deputy Superintendent of Police Shyamu Aryal, two Deusi and Bhailo groups clashed at Bhimad Municipality on Friday night. Six persons sustained injures in the clash.
Following the incident, police detained four youths and impounded four motorcycles.
Likewise, eight persons including a female were injured in a brawl between locals of Pokhari Bhanjyang and Beni Kot on Thrusday.
The seriously injured have been taken to Manipal Teaching Hospital in Pokhara while others returned home following minor treatment at Damauli Hospital, police informed.
Police have taken 16 persons involved in the incident into custody for questioning.
