An unidentified group has vandalised Latinath Higher Secondary School at Marma Rural Municipality-3 in Darchula district.
The group had arbitrarily broken the lock of computer class and administration chamber before vandalising the school building.
The incident possibly took place on Friday; details of the loss were known only when the school resumed on Sunday after the festival holiday, shared school principal, Bhagirath Bista.
The group vandalised seven computer sets, projector, table, cupboard and chairs, and also removed the lock from resource centre’s office, he informed.
It is estimated that the school incurred a loss amounting to Rs 250,000 due to the vandalism of its physical properties.
