Five demonstrators injured in a clash

At least five students were injured during the clash with police while students affiliated to Nepal Students Union, Prithvi Narayan Campus Unit attempted to burn effigy of Prime Minister K.P Sharma Oli on November 12.

The clash started while students attempted to burn the effigy in front of Prithvi Narayan Campus at Pokhara Metropolis-1, Bagar.

The injured were 24 years old Anish Pandey of Pokhara Metropolis-4, Chipledhunga, Bikash Khatri, 24, Satish Bastola, 24, Resham Hamal, 24 and Gopal Gurung of Pokhara Metropolis-1. All injured received treatment at local medical.

The situation was tensed after the police intervened and attempted to stop burning effigy. But, the students of NSU pelted stones to the police and clash erupted according to DSP Rabindra Man Gurung of DPO Kaski.
