Suspicious object found in Nepalgunj

People in Pushpalal Chok of Nepalgunj were terrorised after suspicious objects were spotted here on Thursday.

Locals in the area had informed the police about the suspicious package wrapped in a plastic fearing that it might be an explosive.

A police team has reached the site and trained police dogs are being used to determine the contents of the package, informed police.

Likewise, the police have informed that they have recovered pamphlets published by Commander group, an underground outfit, near the package. The pamphlet has asked the people to remain at least 300 metres away from the package.

Banke Police Chief SP Arun Poudel informed that they have requested assistance from a bomb disposal team from the Nepal Army.

Meanwhile, the police have cordoned off the area where the package has been placed and pedestrians and vehicles have been barred from plying in the area.
