Ram Karan Das, 45, abducted by an unidentified group on January 20, has been freed on January 23.

A resident of Kushlaxminiya4 and working as a technical assistant in the same VDC was brought to his village from an undisclosed place in India, District Police Office, Siraha said.

Inspector Raj Kumar Shahi said Das had contacted his family this afternoon.

Das was abducted as he was heading home from the district headquarters Siraha in a motorcycle with the number plate Sa 2 Pa 2486.
