Police arrested Nir Bahadur Rana, 33, of Biruwa-2, Mohan Rana, 29, Kamal Rana, 27, and 26-year-old Ashok Rana on December 13 in accusation of vandalizing police station in Biruwa rural municipality and manhandling a police officer.
DSP Prakash Bista of District Police Office, Syangja said that the accused manhandled Police Officer Milan Saru, who was on duty in the police station on December 12.
After the locals, Nir Bahadur Rana, 33, and Khemam Bahadur Rana, 33, were arrested, 28-29 villagers attacked the police station. Police Officer Milan Saru was injured in the incident.
The District Police Office, Syangja, said that four of the locals were arrested after receiving information that those arrested for misconduct were taken away by the mob.
