A rehabilitation center situated in Budhanilkantha has been found to be torturing help seekers hosted at the center. The incident came to light after two women seeking help at Budhanilkantha based "Kripa Ghar" rehabilitation center went to the police on Wednesday seeking help saying that they were tortured by the center's operator. Police raided the rehabilitation center on Thursday following the report.
DSP Hobindra Bogati Metropolitan Police Circle said "The condition of two women who came to us for help was serious. During a raid following their report, we found that the rehabilitation center had been operating without following conditions. The condition of other women receiving help there was also not good and were receiving physical punishments. We have rescued 52 women aged 12 to 60 years"
