Youth Killed in Grenade Blast

Ram Sunar, 25 hailing from Oraste4 of Syanja district has been killed when a plastic grenade went off at Crystal Light House in Pokhara Sub-metropolis-8 on January 25.

 

Sunar, a worker at the Light House had gone to electric items in its warehouse at around 1 pm and he had found a suspected object. When he brought the object out and tried to identify it, it exploded suddenly. Sunar, who was injured in the blast, succumbed while undergoing treatment at Charak Hsopital in Pokhara Sub-metropolis-9, police said.

 

A team of Nepal Army and Nepal police had investigated the incident site after the incident. Another grenade, which was found in the electric shop, was disposed by Nepali Army, Yadavraj Khanal, SP at Kaski District Police Office said.

 

Narayan Shrestha, 45, a resident of Pokhara Sub-Metropolis-8, who is proprietor of the Light House, has been arrested for investigation, police said.
