Rukum/November 15, The District Committee Member of UML Bir Bahadur Sahi, including 7 others have been injured in an attack by the UCPN-M cadres during door-to-door campaign at Athbiskot VDC-8. The group of UCPN-M cadres led by local leader Deepak attacked and injured 6 other cadres of UML, according to UML District secretary Hari Prasad Sharma. Among them, the condition of Bir Bahadur Shahi and Judda Bahadur Sarki is said to be critical. The injured have been taken to the hospital. The district chairperson of UML, Bimal Pun demanded that the local administration take action against the assailants. Police were deployed at the incident site and the investigation is underway, said DSP Rajendra Bhatta.
