A 14-year-old boy has admitted to killing his female employer Rupa Thapa of Mudabhari of Rapti Municipality-6 in east Chitwan.
District Police Office, Chitwan, has confirmed that Santosh Alemagar of Taltikhol, Dhading, a domestic helper confessed to killing the woman on the night of January 29. According to Magar, the house owner tried to prevent him from attending a marriage party of the neighbour. Thapa later allowed him to attend the party. Magar returned home at around 9:45 pm from the party and found Thapa sleeping after which he sneaked into her room and attacked her with a khukuri. After hiding the weapon behind his room, he washed his blood-stained hands and legs before going to bed, Deputy Superintendent of Police Durga Raj Regmi said, quoting Magar.
He reported that Thapa used to scold him time and again and he murdered her in revenge. The boy had been working as domestic help for the Thapa family for the past 10 months. Rupa's son-in-law had found the boy to help his mother-in-law. Rupa's eldest son was not at home due to personal works on the day when the incident happened. Police have arrested five others in connection with the case.
