Police arrested 18-year-old Siddhartha Chaudhary, a resident of Jitpur Simara-17, on Wednesday on charge of setting a tractor on fire.
Chaudhary is accused of setting fire on a tractor bearing plate number NA 1 TA 5079 owned by Krishna Bhagawan Singh of Jitpur Simara-22, on the night of February 6. Chaudhary allegedly also threatened to kill Singh and asked for 3 lakh rupees over phone calls. A team of police deployed from District Police Office, Bara arrested Chaudhary and also confiscated the mobile phone.
Further investigation is underway.
