The student association of the ruling Nepal Communist Party (CPN) picketed the office of the Vice-Chancellor of Tribhuvan University.
ANNFSU and ANNFSU (Revolutionary) encircled the office chanting slogans on Monday, demanding an election for the Free Student Union (FSU).
Aarasi Lamichhane, a leader of ANNFSU, said that after the office of Vice-Chancellor Tirtha Khaniya was picketed, Registrar Dilliram Upreti promised to hold the election soon, while addressing the students.
The students of the ruling party have accused that the Nepal Student Union (NSU) is trying to interfere with the election of FSU because of their internal scandal.
