Police arrested 31-year-old Yam Bahadur Thapa and 22-year-old Jitendra Malla, constables of Hulma Police Station of Khandachakra Municipality-9 on the charge of killing 29-year-old Suman Shahi of Khandachakra Municipality-3.
Shahi who went missing on February 12 after being chased during a clash by the police duo was found dead on March 1.
Constables Thapa and Malla were arrested by the District Police Office for investigation after the victim's family filed a complaint against them on February 13.
According to Kalikot police chief DSP Vinod Sharma, the accused were arrested after the deceased's Father Durga Bahadur Shahi filed a complaint against them accusing them of throwing his son in the river after killing him.
Deceased's family filed the complains demanding punishment for accused and proper indemnification.
