Two women and two girls have complained of torture by police in the female custody cell of the district police office to the INSEC district representative. The victims made this complaint during supervision in the jail by INSEC representative. Showing injuries in the foot and ankle, the victims said that they were beaten by stick by the police at night.
Police allegedly tortured 17-year-old Manisha Shrestha of Dharapani-5, Bhojpur, 16-year-old Sushmita KC of Hatuwagadhi-9, Bhojpur, 32-year-old Kalpana Rumba of Thungwang-2, Makwanpur and 18-year-old Ramita Adhikari of Jajarkot. According to Spokesperson of District Court, the injured received treatment at Chautara Hospital on March 4, 2019 as per the court order issued by the district hospital.
