An unidentified group abducted a trader near Bodebarsain Bazaar in Saptari on Saturday night. A dozen motorcycle-borne assailants kidnapped Mohammad Jiaul Haque, a textile trader, while he was returning home at Dakneshwori-13. The abductors, who were taking Haque to the border, left him midway and fled the scene upon seeing personnel from the Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), the border security force of India. The SSB personnel rescued Haque and handed him over to his relatives. (PR)
