An unidentified group has set ablaze equipment at a crusher plant at Krishnapur Municipality-5 in Gulariya Kanchanpur.
A JCB dozer (SE 1 KA 258) was destroyed in the arson attack, police officials informed.
According to Deputy Superintendent of Police, Krishna Raj Ojha, officers found a note, explaining why the unidentified outfit torched the vehicle belonging to Mahakali Gaurav Builders, at the incident site.
Apart from asking the builders to change its ways, the vandalisers in the note have accused the crusher plant operator of defying standards, exploiting labour, delayed construction and ignoring voices of local stakeholder.
Police have initiated an investigation into the matter to identify the outfit, officials said.
