An unidentified group torched a truck in Thaha municipality-4 Nayagau of Makwanpur on Wednesday night on the eve of nationwide general strike called by Netra Bikram Chand led Communist Party of Nepal against the government's decision to ban it. The vehicle bearing plate number Na 5 Kha 7411 travelling from Kathmandu to Hetauda informed Area Police Office Palung.

According to the truck's driver, a group of masked men stopped the vehicle and torched it by sprinkling petrol. Although, fire brigade from Thaha municipality attempted to control the fire on the vehicle, it was completely destroyed in the arson.
