Parvata Nepali, 42, of Nalbu5 has been beaten up by Ramri Maya Nalbu of same locality alleging that the former forcefully entered into the house of the latter on February 2.
According to the victim, Ramri Maya had forcefully taken her out when she had entered into the house to drink water. "Ramri Maya not only took me forcefully from her house but also attacked to my head and chest alleging that I belong to a lower caste," the victim said, adding, "I used to enter her house, however, this time she took out from her house and beat me on the allegation of being a lower caste." "When I fell down following the beating, Sukhamaya Nablu, a neighbor helped me to stand up," the victim said.
"I talked with neighbor about the incident but they discouraged to file a complaint in the concerned authority saying that Ramri Maya can file a case against me on the allegation of entering into her house without her permission," Parvata said, adding that she has not file a complaint to any authority so far. She has been undergoing treatment at District Hospital.
"I am treasurer of Nalbu Paralegal Committee and advocating for rights of others, however, I myself have become a victim but justice is not delivered to me," she regretted.
