Cadres of Netra Bikram Chand led NCP who were arrested from Sindhupalchok accused the police of torturing them in detention. Police had arrested arrested 17 cadres of NCP on March 1 after the government declared a ban on the party. They reported about the torture to their lawyer during a hearing on Friday at Sindhupalchok District Court. The arrested cadres reported that police tortured them by hitting them with pipes and have demanded the protection of their human rights.
