32-year-old Gajendra Gurung, a resident of Phungling-9, Taplejung has been arrested in accusation of attacking his father, Dal Bahadur Gurung, with a sharp weapon.

The father had sustained severe injuries from the attack on March 30 and succumbed to injuries while being taken to Jhapa for treatment. Gajendra beat his father and attacked him with a sharp weapon over a domestic dispute. 

Police have arrested the son and the dead body of the deceased has been handed over to the family after post-mortem examination/
