Bombs Defused in Five Places

Saptari/November 19, Nepal Army’s bomb disposal unit has defused bombs in five different spots, placed with an intention of terrorizing the voters on November 19. Army source said the bombs were found on East-West Highway and other road sections. One pressure cooker bomb and two bombs were found in Pipra Paschim VDC-1, one bomb each in Kadarbona in Pansera VDC-8, Kharchuiya in Khojpur VDC-8, Simraha Chok in Dharmapur VDC-8 and near Agriculture Building in Raypur VDC-8. The team of police and army reached at the spots when the locals heading for polling booths informed them. CDO Harikrishna Poudel said that despite such attempts to create terror, the voting was going smoothly. He added that election was being held peacefully in all 522 polling booths including four in 284 polling centers.
