Karnali, Rukum West, Tribeni, Ward 6
Gagan Singh Giri, 48, of Triveni Rural Municipality-6 has accused the Police of torturing him in the custody. Earlier, his wife had filed a verbal complaint against him after a quarrel between each other. He was then arrested on April 28 by the Police deployed from Jhulneta Police Office. He was released from the police station on conditions that he would no longer consume alcohol and quarrel with his wife. Giri has sought the help of journalists and human rights activists in the district, saying that the police tortured him inhumanely while in custody.
