Gorkha locals kill bridegroom’s guest for ‘eve teasing’ during party

A person died after a clash during a wedding party in Kumalgaun, Palungtar Municipality-4 of Gorkha district, on Wednesday.
The deceased has been identified as Bishnu Bahadur Kumar, 34, a permanent resident of neighbouring Lamjung district. Kumar was in the Gorkha village to take part in the party from the bridegroom’s side.
Seriously injured in the clash, Kumal died while undergoing treatment at Gandaki Medical College, according to SP Bhola Rawal.
A preliminary police investigation has suggested that relatives and neighbours of the bride attacked Kumal after he ‘teased’ girls of their side.
Rawal informs that another guest of the groom side has sustained injuries in the attack.
Police have arrested some locals suspecting their involvement in the act. Further investigation is underway.
