Rukum,Aniyamitta ko aarop ma congress dwara muddha darta. RUKUM: Nepali Congress candidate Gopal Jee Jung Shah of Rukum-2 today filed a case at the district election office against Unified CPN-Maoist cadres in Rukum. Shah accused UCPN-M cadres of obstructing the NC representatives deployed for election, after breaching the election code of conduct. He demanded re-election at Siddhartha High School, Dharbang, Dulipokhara, Prithivi Primary School, and the polling stations in Simli as UCPN-M cadres had obstructed the NC’s representatives at several polling booths. Meanwhile, chief of the district election office Hemanta Rawal said the ballot boxes had already been taken to the headquarters and re-election was impossible. Likewise, UML candidate Khekaman Khadka of Rukum-1 also alleged that UCPN-M cadres had taken his party representative Jeevan KC under control. KC was deployed at Holtara polling centre. He further said there was foul play at almost all polling stations of the eastern hilly regions. Assistant election officer Arjun Bhandari said ballot boxes of Hukam, Syalakhadi and Ranmaukot would be taken to the headquarters by helicopter.
