A 13-year-old girl of Haldibari4 has been killed after rape on February 2.

Body of Sabitra Rajbanshi was found near her house by her relatives. Her body was covered with leaves while clothes from her lower body had been taken off.

Family of the victims had not inquired about her thinking that she had gone to school with her sister. They had searched for her after her sister returned from school and informed them that she had gone to collect firewood in the morning instead of going to school. Both sisters are students of Haldibari higher secondary school.

Inspector Rajesh Thapa of district police office Jhapa said that the deceased had bite marks in her breast and chest. Last rites of the deceased was performed after her post-mortem was conducted at the Mechi zonal hospital on February 3.

Inspector Thapa said that police were conducting special investigation into the incident and that no one had been arrested yet.
