Taplejung/ October 28, District leader of CPN-M Bharat Karki alias Surendra has been arrested from the district headquarter Fungling on October 27 on charge of his involvement in the attack on UCPN-M poll candidate of constituency-1 Sanchpal Maden. Police said that Karki was arrested on charge of his involvement in the boycott campaign of CA election. Another CPN-M leader Rakesh Dahal has been released after some enquiry, according to Inspector Krishna Dev Chaudhary. Sanchpal Meden was attacked by a group of CPN-M cadres led by district in-charge of CPN-M Santosh Pantawa and Secretary Parsuram Paudel while he had reached Mehele VDC doing an election campaign, a press statement issud by the UCPN-M had stated.
