Police arrested the mother who fled throwing her infant in the bush beside a river. Area Police Office, Urlabari arrested Maya Rai, mother of the infant who was thrown in the bush on 16th March. According to Ghanshyam Shrestha, Spokesperson of District Police Office, Morang the infant was sent to Godawari Hospital for the treatment immediately after being rescued. The infant was then sent to Noble Hospital from Godawari Hospital for further treatment. The mother of the infant, May Rai, who was not found even after a long search, was present at the Nobel Hospital by herself during the infant's treatment. The infant's mother Maya Rai fled from the hospital premises shortly after the infant died while undergoing treatment at Nobel Hospital on 11th April. On the basis of confidential information, Maya was arrested by the police from Shukrabare bazar, Hatkhola, Urlabari-5. According to an investigation by District police office, Morang, Maya had a love marriage earlier in June 2018 to a man of Kathmandu. The man left Maya after he found Maya as pregnant. According to Police, the arrested Maya is kept at Area Police Office and further investigation is going on.
