Police have arrested two persons for allegedly vandalizing a taxi number bearing plate number Ba 2 Ja 299 and Ba 1 Ja 8610 and beating taxi driver on the road at Swayambhu Karkhana Chowk, Kathmandu on Friday night. Arrestees are 39-year-old, Narayan Tamang resident of Dhading and 25-year-old, Shyam Kuwar resident of Nuwakot, currently living at Kathmandu.

After getting information about the taxi being vandalized and taxi driver 28-year-old Krishna Bahadur Kingring of Chandragiri Municipality was beaten by a drunkard, Metropolitan Police Circle Swayambhu arrested them.

Injured Kingring has been admitted to Manmohan Memorial Teaching Hospital, Swayambhu. 21-year-old, Aashish Chaudhary who was involved in the beating has been injured and taken to Trauma Center for further treatment. Doors and glasses of the taxi have been broken in vandalization. Further investigation is carried on.
