Nepal Communist Party led by Netra Bikram Chand Biplov, Mechi and Koshi Bureau cadres organized a torch rally in ten districts of Mechi and Koshi. The torch rally was organized on the eve of Nepal Banda called by the party to protest against the murder of Sarlahi district in-charge Kumar Poudel on June 25, Tuesday.

According to Shrijan, secretary of the party's bureau office, they carried out torch rally in Myanghlung of Therathum, Jiri, Itahari Halgada of Sunsari, Panmara of Dharan and Baraha Municipality including other 3 places, Pathari, Rangeli, and Sundarharicha of Morang.

According to Shrijan, torch rally was organized in 24 places including Dhankuta, Taplejung, Morang, Jhapa and Pachthar. According to him, there was significant and aggressive participation of the party leaders, cadres and party members in all the twenty-four places.
