An improvised explosive device was found in the premises of Triyuga Municipality office in Udayapur district on Tuesday morning.

Locals informed the Udayapur District Police Office (DPO) after a pressure cooker was discovered wrapped inside a pink-coloured bag at around 6:30 am in the process of cleaning the municipality premises.
Immediately after the information was received, a team from Udayapur DPO and Municipal Police Office, Gaighat reached the site where the suspicious object was found, stated chief at the DPO, Superintendent of Police (SP) Bir Bahadur Buda Magar.
A bomb disposal unit from the Nepal Army found pieces of cloth, wires and tape inside the pressure cooker in the process of disposal, Udayapur Police quoted the army personnel of the disposal unit as saying.
Those involved in planting the pressure cooker bomb inside the premises of the municipality have not been identified yet. A thorough investigation into the incident is going on, informed SP Buda Magar.
