Police arrested leaders and cadres of RPP on Monday afternoon, who were staging a  sit-in outside the office of Gandaki Province's Chief Minister demanding declaration of Hindu nation, dismissal of Citizenship Distribution Act, 2075 and monarchical democracy. More than a dozen cadres were arrested.

Sit-in and strike in front of Chief Minister's office is restricted. According to Surya Bastola, member of RPP central promotion department, police arrested RPP's Provincial President Hemjung Gurung, Vice-President Rajendra Bahadur Adhikari, Provincial Secretary Barun Bikram Rana, Central Members: Jayalal Pun, Rame Bahadur Bhandari, District President Damhendra Bahadur Karki, Provincial Member Narayan Gurung, Krishna Prasad Paudel, district Vice-President Jagat Prasad Subedi, District Members Ram Bahadur Tamang, Bijuli Prasad Gurung, Bholajung Subedi, Buddhiman Dura, Ganesh Bahadur Shrestha, Ghanshyam Gautam, Ramesh Tripati, Lalu Prasad Adhikari, Mohan Bahadur KC.

According to DSP as well as Spokesperson, Rabindraman Gurung, District Police Office Kaski, they were arrested for demonstrating in restricted area and were released later on.
