The Supreme Court on January 31 has issued a stay order on the government’s decision of the government to classify 140 kinds of information.

A single bench of Justice Baidhyanath Upadhyaya issued the stay order in response to public interest litigation filed by the Democratic Lawyers´ Association. 

The court has ordered defendants and plaintiffs to appear before the court on February 5 for a discussion on whether the decision should be stayed until there is a final decision.
