Police have arrested 42 years old Daya Nepali of Butwal Sub-metropolis-4 on July 3 on charge of misbehaving 36 years old woman alleging her of being witch.

The victim was misbehaved and was beaten by the accused after her daughter became ill. She was accused of being witch. On a same day the victim lodged complaint at Area Police Office of Butwal.

Based on a complaint made by the victim’s family, the accused was arrested by the police for interrogation according to DSP Bhim Lal Bhattarai of DPO. The victim underwent health checkup at Lumbini Hospital on June 26.
