Siraha/October 17, Central member of Madhesi Janadhikar Forum-Loktantrik (MJF-L) and MJF-L candidate from Siraha constituency-4 Shatrudhan Prasad Singh has been attacked by NC cadres at around 8 pm on October 16. Organizing a press meet on October 17 Singh said that NC cadres attacked him and other MJF-L cadres when they had reached house belonging to MJF-L candidate from Siraha-5 Javed Khan (Pappu) in Aasopur Balkawa to mark the Eid festival. Singh added that some MJF-L cadres were injured in the attack and three vehicles (BR7P 3956, BR07P 7484, Ba8Cha 1792) were vandalized. He further said that the assailants looted money and important documents from his vehicle. Singh suspected that the NC cadres might have attacked them after NC area no. 5 President Chandra Dev Yadab joined MJF-L. He said that police team had dispersed the crowd and took them home safely. MJF-L cadres had obstructed vehicular movement for some hours demanding arrest of the assailants. Meanwhile, NC poll candidate from Siraha-4 said that his cadres retaliated after the MJF-L cadres pelted stones at them. He added that NC Unit Committee President Ram Briksha Sah was injured in the incident. Chief District Officer (CDO) Anil Kumar Thakur said that teams of Nepal Police and APF were mobilized immediately after learning about the incident.
