Three injured from student's attack in Birgunj

Three persons were injured in a sharp weapon attack by Arvind Sahani who is a student of MBBS at National Medical College in an interpersonal dispute.

The injured were identified as 28-year old Ranjit Prasad Rauniyar, 25-year-old Chandni Devi Rauniyar, and their mother Minadevi Rauniyar, who were staying in rent at Trisul Market in Birgunj Sub Metropolitan-14.

Arvind attacked them with sharp weapons on Friday morning. Arvind is absconding after the incident. Both Arvind and Ranjit are studying MBBS in National Medical.

Ranjit has sustained injuries to his stomach while Mina and Chandni have injuries to their hands. They are being treated at National Medical College, Birgunj.

Spokesperson of the District Police Office, Parsa, DSP Anantaram Sharma said that further investigation on the incident is underway. No sharp weapons were found at the site of the incident and police are looking for the assailant who remains on the run.
