Ilam, UCPN-M Ilam kshetra no.2 ka ummedhwar mathi aakrahaman. Ilam/ October 28, UCPN-M candidate from Ilam constituency no. 2 Ramesh Linden has been attacked by a group of about 12 CPN-M cadres while he was returning home after completing election campaign on October 27. According to District Security Committee Ilam, a landrover jeep with the registration number Me 1 Ja 382 and a bicycle have also been vandalized in the same incident. According to the UCPN-M city in-charge Jeevan Sharma, UCPN-M cadres Rajendra Gahatraj, Raj Kumar Rai and Bhim Bhattarai also received minor injuries in the attack. Both sides ensued in a clash for some time. Sharma said that the assailants fled after the clash and a Khukuri was recovered from the incident site. CDO Baburam Khatiwada said that search of the people involved in the incident was ongoing.
