Businesspersons of Birgunj staged a protest on Sunday demanding revocation of Value Added Tax (VAT) on the transport business and new tax law that the government implemented on July 14.
The businesspersons took out a rally in the leadership Birgunj Federation of Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The businesspersons tied black bands on their arms and started the rally from the premises of Chamber of Commerce and Industry situated in Birta. The rally ended in a corner meet at the Clock tower chowk.
