Police arrested 21-year-old Padam Gautam and 20-year-old Indian citizen Chuman Sahani on July 22 from Tokha on the charge of attacking 45-year-old ward chairperson of Nilkantha Municipality-14, Phandra Tamang (Roshan).
The victim's side has claimed that the accused attacked Tamang with a sharp weapon on July 19 while he was returning to his rented apartment situated in Baniyatar, Tokha. Tamang is also a central committee member of Nepal Communist Party.
Tamang has sustained injuries oh his stomach and hand. He received treatment at Grande Hospital.
