Chitwan branch of FNJ (Federation of Nepalese Journalists) staged a demonstration protesting against the Media Council Bill. During the demonstration they exhibited the items used in journalism in front of the branch office.

The active journalists were present in the demonstration program organized by the federation. As per the announcement made by the federation programs under the first phase was organized on Friday.

 On addressing the assembly conducted after the protest, the Federation's President Radheshyam Khatiwada said the government is trying to threaten the media and abduct the press freedom through the bill.
